**We have reduced her price for a unique reason! When we started Olive back into work she was a bit overactive in the mouth so naturally we had her teeth done and face/jaw/head examined to make sure she was comfortable. What we found was a little fold of cheek skin that she was likely inadvertently catching between her teeth. She had a little time off to let the cheek heal then happily went back to work in a hackamore which she really seems to enjoy. Every now and then she’ll still have an inconsistent moment in the contact so we had the vet check her and the cheek flappy is still present. We’re advised that it can easily be removed but may regrow if she’s chewing on her cheeks out of habit so I’ve opted not to proceed with that option. Instead we’re hoping the right person will enjoy this exceptionally sweet and talented mare bitless as we do, or will consider her for breeding stock with her lovely conformation.
This lovely dark bay mare has had a brilliant start in dressage, hunter/jumpers and even did RRP in 2018! Recently she was a trail and dressage companion for a young rider before moving to us in the winter. We began our work with her over the winter but then she took on the very important role of babysitter most of the season to a very worried horse who needed a friend. She’s back in regular work now this summer and progressing beautifully. With her lovely shoulder reach she is a wonderful candidate for the dressage ring but also shows great aptitude over fences and she’d be equally happy to be your trail partner!
Olive is well built with a solid back and beautifully set neck. She’s lovely to handle, good for the vet and farrier, hauls, clips. Hacks alone or in a group. Can live inside or outside, wonderful in a group. She is very sweet and kind and would love an equally kind person of her own..
