Ever the competitor, our beautiful Okario has had a wonderful career as an international high level jumper. For the last few years, she has been teaching novice riders the ropes in our lesson program. She has a lovely temperament and is a fun forward ride. Carmel also hacks safely, is a joy to flat, travels and shows with no prep. She is now available to a Companion / trail home.
Let me preface by saying this mare will only go to the perfect and well-vetted new situation, otherwise she will continue to be a pasture princess.
She had a storied international show jumping career before teaching countless riders how to jump and show. She’d done well with hock injections in her golden years but now has some bony changes in her fetlocks so we’ve stepped her back from sport. She’s still eager to trail ride and walk/trot under saddle (canter with maintenance). For that reason we’re looking for a potential person and bigger pasture for her forever.
